SRQ VISIONARY TRIBUTE Building a World-Class Community One Vision at a Time!
Sarasota County "A special place to vacation or live." For over 100 years, individuals, families, and businesses have contributed long hours to the economic, philanthropic, and political well-being and future prosperity of this outstanding and unique community. Many have never been thanked or truly appreciated for their efforts.
Since the 1890's Visionary Men and Women made significant contributions within Sarasota County that we enjoy today and sometimes take for granted.
This legacy continues today. It is time we pay tribute to those visionaries who maintain the legacy and provide Sarasota County citizens with a "World-Class Community".
Citizens throughout the county recognize the importance of having visionaries who see and strategically plan for future needs of Sarasota County, rally community citizen support, and persevere until the vision becomes a reality.
SRQ VISIONARY TRIBUTE believes it is important to recognize and honor these individuals. Please join in celebrating Sarasota's visionary citizens for their inspirational energy, time, finance, and perseverance that they thanklessly dedicate in making Sarasota County a "World-Class Community".

Funding Visionary's Legacy
"Building a World-Class Community one Vision at a Time!"
Over the years Sarasota County Visionaries have made efforts to preserve historical landmarks, invest their time and financial resources in beautifying our county, and provided much needed direction for future growth and change.
SRQ VISIONARY TRIBUTE wants to identify and provide funding for the efforts of Sarasota's visionaries. This gives every citizen in Sarasota County an opportunity to make his or her time and donations count.
SRQ VISIONARY TRIBUTE's inaugural funding effort is to continue Gil Waters' legacy by donating to the completion of the two remaining Components of The City of Sarasota's 1959 Plan.
Those two Components are: to complete the plans and instillation for a Walkable Downtown; and, to provide a safe and secure pedestrian overpass from Marina Jack to lower Main Street.
If you cannot attend the tribute and would like to make a donation, please Click Here.
All donations are made directly to Community Foundation of Sarasota County's "Main Street Beautification Fund" and are tax deductible.
